On the morning of April 6, 2021, Qatar Airways operated the world’s first flight completely immune to COVID-19.
The QR6421 aircraft took off from Hamad International Airport at 11:00. Only the crew and passengers were vaccinated. In addition, during the check-in process, they were also taken care of by the staff for the entire vaccination process.
This unique flight highlights the strict measures taken by the airline to ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene, including its latest innovation, the world’s first zero-touch in-flight entertainment technology. The flight is operated by Qatar Airways’ most technologically advanced and sustainable aircraft Airbus A350-1000. According to the airline’s environmental responsibility, carbon emissions can completely offset the flight.
