FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about Pakistan tour packages, booking details, travel requirements, and trip customizations.

Planning and Booking Your Pakistan Tour

Every trip starts differently. Some travellers already know where they want to go, while others need help choosing a destination, travel route, or suitable number of days. The following answers explain how our booking process works.

Can I customise my tour?

Yes. Most tours can be adjusted according to your dates, budget, group size, and preferred travel style. You may request different hotels, extend or shorten your stay, add domestic flights, change the sightseeing schedule, or combine more than one region. Some changes depend on weather, road access, hotel availability and the practical travel time between destinations.

What types of tours does Pakistan Tour and Travel arrange?

We arrange private holidays, family vacations, couple trips, group tours, corporate getaways, student trips, cultural journeys, trekking expeditions and sightseeing tours across Pakistan.

Our team can plan a complete multi-day holiday or help with selected services such as hotels, transport, airport transfers, domestic flights and local guides. The services included will always be listed in your written quotation.

Weather, Road Closures and Itinerary Changes

Mountain travel cannot be managed in the same way as a city break. Weather, road access and flight operations can alter even a carefully prepared plan.

Can you accommodate travellers with mobility limitations?

We will try to recommend a practical itinerary, but accessibility differs greatly between hotels, attractions and mountain routes. Tell us about wheelchair use, walking limitations, stair restrictions or other needs before paying an advance. Some remote attractions, jeep tracks and older hotels may not be suitable for travellers with limited mobility.

What happens if my domestic flight is cancelled?

The available options depend on the airline, route and number of remaining tour days. Our team may discuss a later flight, a road journey or a revised itinerary. Extra transport, hotel nights or airline charges will depend on your package terms and the airline’s rules. Avoid booking a tightly connected international departure immediately after a weather-dependent mountain flight.

Families, Children and Special Requirements

A well-paced itinerary is often more enjoyable than a plan that tries to cover too many places in too little time.

Can infants and toddlers travel on northern tours?

Infants and toddlers can visit developed places like Main Murre, Hunza city, or Skardu city, where you can find necessary facilities easily. Avoid long drives, cold weather, high altitudes, and remote areas with limited medical help. Bring the child’s regular medicines, appropriate clothing, food supplies, and identification documents. If the child has a health condition, seek medical advice before traveling.

Transport, Drivers, and Flights

Comfortable transport matters on long road journeys. Vehicle selection should be based on the group size, luggage, and route rather than price alone.

Are fuel and driver expenses included?

Yes, all packages cover fuel, driver accommodation, tolls, parking, and local road charges.

Is a 4x4 jeep included in every package?

A local jeep or suitable 4×4 is only included when it appears in the confirmed package. Some attractions cannot be reached by a normal car or van. Then we take a jeep ride that is charged separately, but don’t worry, it is included in the package price.

Hotels, Meals and Accommodation

Hotel standards and facilities can vary between major cities and remote mountain areas. Confirming the exact property and room arrangement prevents misunderstandings later.

Will I know the hotel name before booking?

The proposed hotel name or category is clearly mentioned in your quotation. During busy periods, a hotel may become unavailable before payment is received. In that situation, our team may suggest a similar alternative. Your confirmed booking voucher states the final accommodation arrangement.

Can you arrange family rooms or extra beds?

Family rooms, connecting rooms, and extra mattresses can be requested, but availability varies by hotel.
Please provide the correct number and ages of children before booking. Room occupancy rules differ between properties, and an arrangement suitable for one hotel may not be available at another.

What type of hotels can you arrange?

We can arrange budget, standard, deluxe and premium accommodation, subject to availability. Options may include hotels, resorts, guesthouses, camps or other suitable properties. Accommodation in remote valleys may be simpler than a similarly labelled hotel in Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi.

International Tourists Visiting Pakistan

International visitors may require additional planning for visas, travel documents, currency, guides and access to certain areas.

Can foreign tourists pay by international bank card?

International cards may work at major hotels, airlines, malls and selected restaurants, but card acceptance is limited in many smaller towns and mountain regions. Carry Pakistani currency for local transport, meals, attraction tickets and street vendors. It is also sensible to inform your bank about your travel before departure.

What documents should foreign visitors carry?

Foreign travellers should normally carry:

  • Original passport
  • Valid visa or approved entry document
  • Copies of passport and visa
  • Hotel and tour confirmation
  • Emergency contact information
  • Travel insurance details
  • Any route-specific permission
  • Keep secure digital copies as well as separate photocopies in your luggage.

Do foreign travellers need an NOC or special permit?

Most standard tourist routes do not require an NOC or special permit. However, restricted areas, some border regions, and certain expedition or mountaineering routes may require prior approval. Check out the travel advisory by Govt of Pakistan for better understanding.

Do foreign tourists need a visa to visit Pakistan?

Visa requirements depend on nationality, passport type, and the purpose of travel. Foreign visitors should check their eligibility and apply through the official Pakistan Online Visa System. Visa rules can change, so information from unofficial blogs or old social-media posts should not be treated as final guidance.

Is Pakistan suitable for solo female travellers?

Yes, Pakistan is safe for solo female travellers. But solo travellers should use verified hotels, dependable transport, and experienced local support when visiting remote areas, whether male or female. Modest clothing, avoiding isolated travel after dark and following current local advice can make the journey more comfortable.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Please read the complete Cancellation and Refund Policy before making your payment.

Are advance payments refundable?

Advance deposits and full payments are non-refundable after cancellation because hotels, airlines, and local suppliers may receive non-refundable payments when reservations are confirmed.

Can I reschedule instead of cancelling?

You can reschedule your bookings to a new date within 365 days of your original travel date. Let the team know as soon as possible.

What happens if extreme weather prevents the tour from operating?

If travel becomes impossible due to extreme weather, a natural disaster, road blockage, or government restrictions, the team will look at the options available under the current rescheduling policy. Depending on the situation and the services already booked, you may be able to change your route, postpone your trip, or receive a credit for a future tour.
