Yet another initiative is taken by Punjab Government to promote Tourism in Pakistan. Double Decker Bus Service from the Wagha Border starts from today on 9 Dec 2017. The launching ceremony held with full ease from Gaddafi Stadium, Football Ground, to Wagha Border on Saturday.  The ceremony was attended by different officials of government along with the TDCP members. Meanwhile, the ceremony showcase the beautifully decorated double-decker buses also display that will be used for sightseeing.

Sightseeing Lahore Bus Service is a service of its own kind. PTDC dedicated 5 fully decorated buses to promote the culture and beauty of Pakistan and especially Lahore.

Moreover, the service is said to start its expedition at 2:30 pm from Qaddafi Stadium Terminal returning back at 6:00 pm daily after witnessing the Flag Lowering Parade at Pakistan-India border.

There will be different stopovers notably include Main Boulevard, Jail Road, Ring Road, Lahore Canal, GT Road, Wagah Border

Furthermore, a single bus has the capacity to accommodate 60 passengers per round. The round trip is a fully loaded with adventure and thrill. As it will offer a live commentary by experts and will visit the top 36 landmarks of Lahore. The tourist surely enjoys the history of the monuments. There will be free WIFI and real-time surveillance along with the memoir that will be displayed on LEDs. Moreover an entertaining Walled city Tours on colorful and vibrant Tonga and rickshaw.  Without any doubt, this will surely give a boost to the tourism industry in Pakistan.


In addition, the event was attended by renowned film stars Humaima Malik and Shan Shahid. A ribbon cutting ceremony also took place to mark the second anniversary of Double-Decker Bus Service. While speaking to media persons the MD PDTC thanked rangers for exceptional support. The service had been very successful and was opt by a great number of tourists to tour Lahore and hoped the new route would also be a success story, he added.
