Uchal Festival Kalash Tour Plan
Day 1: Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Welcome on arrival at Islamabad Airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, the Islamabad and Rawalpindi city tour includes the famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Barian, Pakistan Monument, Damen Kuoh, Lok Virsa, Museum, Old Rawalpindi Bazaar, and Raja Bazaar.
Day 2: Drive from Islamabad to Swat. Drive 4-5 hours to Swat, visiting Taxila on the way, including Julian, Mohra, Morado, Sercap, and museums. Arrive in Swat and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Swat Valley.
Day 3: Drive from Swat to Chitral. Drive to Chitral 254 km. In the afternoon, visit Shahi Masjid, Chitral Museum, Chitral Fort, and Chitral City.
Day 4: Drive from Chitral to Bumburet. Drive 60 kilometers to Bumburat Valley; today, we will explore Bumburat. We will visit a local museum—Old Kalash Graveyard, where graves are wide open, and the City Center. Later, we will attend the big festival where all the tribes gather in Bumberat. Enjoy dancing, taking photos, interacting with the Kalasha tribe, and experiencing this unique culture firsthand.
Day 5: Visit Rumbur and Biri village. Drive to Rambur Valley and visit the community house, Rambur village, and enjoy the Uchal festival, where people and worms sing and dance. You will interact with locals and share their customs. Enjoy photography and an overnight trip to Chitral, 60 km away.
Day 6: Drive from Kalash to Swat. Drive to Chitral, covering 60 km, and after having refreshments, continue to Swat, covering 254 km. Arrive in Swat and transfer to the hotel.
Day 7: Drive from Swat to Peshawar. Drive 195 kilometers from Swat to Peshawar. Today, we will visit the well-preserved Talhatbai Temple and continue to Peshawar via Malakand Pass.
Day 8: Drive from Peshawar to Islamabad. The morning tour of Peshawar city includes Bala Hisar Fort, Qissa Khani Bazaar, and Peshawar Museum. In the afternoon, drive to Islamabad, a total distance of 172 kilometers.
Day 9: Fly back home. Transfer to Islamabad Airport for your return flight.
