The Uchal festivities pay tribute to Almighty God for blessing them with abundant food and crops. They prepare corn, yogurt, and cheese to celebrate the festival. The Kalash Uchal Festival celebrates the annual barley and wheat harvests in August with song, dance, and tribute to nature. They prepares special foods, such as cheese, yogurt, and cornbread. Women in traditional clothes dance. During the special prayers, the procession sets off to the plateau outside Balangkuru, where the long night of dancing begins. The celebrations continue for several more days and are moved to different parts of the valley.

Day 1
Arrival in Islamabad– World's 2nd Most Beautiful Capital
Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. After some rest, we will explore Islamabad’s famous landmarks, including Faisal Mosque and Pakistan Monument. Overnight stay in Islamabad.
Day 2
Islamabad to Ayun Valley via Lowari Tunnel
After breakfast, we begin our journey towards Chitral. The drive takes us through the scenic Swat Motorway, Dir Valley, and the famous Lowari Tunnel. Enjoy the changing landscapes as we move from plains towards the breathtaking mountains of Chitral. Upon arrival in Ayun Valley, check into the hotel and relax after the long journey; overnight stay in Ayun Valley.
Day 3
Chitral City Sightseeing
After breakfast, we visit Chitral city to explore its cultural and historical attractions. The tour includes visits to Chitral Fort, Shahi Mosque, the Chitral River, and the local bazaar, where visitors can explore traditional handicrafts and local products. In the afternoon, we return to Ayun Valley for an overnight stay.
Day 4
Bumburat Valley and Uchal Festival Experience
After breakfast, we travel towards Bamburat Valley by 4×4 Jeep. Bamburat is the largest and most famous Kalash valley, known for its unique culture and traditions. During our visit, we explore the Kalash Museum, community hall, traditional houses, and the ancient Kalash graveyard. A local guide will introduce you to the lifestyle and customs of the Kalasha people. As the Uchal Festival celebrations begin, we will join the community gatherings, traditional music, and cultural performances and stay overnight in Bamburat Valley.
Day 5
Rumbur Valley Visit and Festival Celebrations
Today we continue exploring the Kalash culture by visiting Rumbur Valley, another important settlement of the Kalasha tribe. The valley offers a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by mountains and traditional villages. We spend time with the local community, observe festival activities, and enjoy the unique cultural environment. After exploring Rumbur, we return to Ayun Valley for the night.
Day 6
Ayun Valley to Nagar Fort
After breakfast, we depart towards Nagar Fort near Drosh. The journey takes us through beautiful mountain landscapes and remote areas of Chitral. Upon arrival, we explore the historic fort and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Nagar Fort provides a relaxing experience away from busy city life, and then overnight stay at Nagar Fort.
Day 7
Nagar Fort to Swat Valley
We shall leave after breakfast and drive towards the beautiful Swat Valley. Upon arrival in Mingora, we explore the local markets known for traditional carpets, handicrafts, and gemstones. The evening is free to enjoy the surroundings of Fizaghat and the Swat River, and an overnight stay in Mingora/Fizaghat.
Day 8
Swat Exploration & Drive Back to Islamabad
After breakfast, we visit Swat Museum in Saidu Sharif to learn about the region’s history and Buddhist heritage. Later, we continue our journey towards Islamabad via motorway. Upon arrival, check into the hotel, relax, and stay in Islamabad.
Day 9
Departure from Islamabad
After breakfast, guests can enjoy free time for shopping or exploring Islamabad before departure. Depending on your flight schedule, our team will transfer you to Islamabad International Airport for your onward journey. The tour concludes with unforgettable memories of Kalash culture, mountain landscapes, and the traditional Uchal Festival.
