Yet another initiative is taken by the Punjab Government to promote Tourism in Pakistan. Double Decker Bus Service from the Wagha Border starts today, 9 Dec 2017. The launching ceremony was held with full ease from Gaddafi Stadium, Football Ground, to Wagha Border on Saturday. Different government officials, along with the TDCP members, attended the ceremony. Meanwhile, the ceremony showcases the beautifully decorated double-decker buses and displays that will be used for sightseeing.
Sightseeing Lahore Bus Service is a service of its kind. PTDC dedicated five fully decorated buses to promote the culture and beauty of Pakistan, especially Lahore.
Moreover, the service is said to start its expedition at 2:30 pm from Qaddafi Stadium Terminal, returning at 6:00 pm daily after witnessing the flag-lowering parade at the Pakistan-India border.
There will be different stopovers, notably Main Boulevard, Jail Road, Ring Road, Lahore Canal, GT Road, and Wagah Border.
Furthermore, a single bus can accommodate 60 passengers per round. The round trip is fully loaded with adventure and thrill. It will offer live commentary by experts and will visit the top 36 landmarks of Lahore. Tourists surely enjoy the history of monuments. There will be free WIFI and real-time surveillance along with the memoir that will be displayed on LEDs. Moreover, there are entertaining walled city tours of colorful and vibrant Tonga and rickshaws. Without any doubt, this will surely boost the tourism industry in Pakistan.
