Chilam Joshi Kalash Tour is one of Pakistan’s most important yet unique cultural Spring festivals. The Kalasha tribe celebrates many festivals throughout the year. The three main Kalash festivals are Chilam Joshi (Spring Festival), Choimus (Winter Festival), and Ushal (Summer Festival).
Chilam Joshi Spring Festival is a unique cultural experience in the Hindu Kush Mountains. In November 2018, UNESCO listed Kalash culture as an “intangible cultural heritage”. The decision was announced at the 13th session of the Intergovernmental Committee of UNESCO in Mauritius. Chilam Joshi Kalash Tour Plan
Day 01: Departure from Islamabad for Chilam Joshi Festival 2024. A long straight drive to Chitral.
Day 02: Breakfast on the way to the monastery. Visit Lowari Tunnel and proceed to Chitral. Arrive at Chitral in the evening. 8:00 PM Transfer to hotel and have dinner.
Day 03: Breakfast at the hotel at 9:00 AM. Continue the journey with a short stopover on the way to Chitral. Visit the Chitral Museum and Chitral Gower National Park. Dinner and overnight at Chitral hotel
Day 04: Breakfast and jeep ride to Wadi Kalash. The whole day was filled with festivities of Chilam Joshi and celebrations. Dinner and overnight stay at Wadi Kalash.
Day 05: Breakfast. Depart for Lahore/Islamabad. Arrive at Islamabad in the evening and Lahore late at night. End of service
