Shangri La Resort Hotel
The Shangri-La Resort is a fantastic resort near Kachura Lake, one of the world’s highest resorts. The incredible aerial view of Shangri La makes you spellbound, which is also known as Heaven on Earth. It is located in the extreme north city of Pakistan Skardu. Shangri La Lake is formally known as Lower Kachura Lake. It is almost 2499m above sea level. It is a heart-shaped lake enclosed by red hut cottages with all the luxurious facilities.
Additionally, in 1983, the resort was built by Late Brig. (Retd) Muhammad Aslam Khan. He was the first commander of the Northern Scouts of the Pakistan Army. It was the only resort in Gilgit Baltistan to serve its services to the tourists. Another interesting fact about Shangri La Resort is its restaurant built on a fuselage. Tourists find heaven between the immense snow-covered mountain with many flora and fauna.

Talking about the fantastic Shangri La Resorts is one of a kind. Shangri La Resort and hotels are divided in a unique pattern. The Shangri La Hotel comprises 60 well-furnished rooms with all the standard amenities. On the other hand, there are Swiss cottages, Lakeside cottages, VIP Suites, and Presidential Suites. Each of them has its uniqueness. For instance, the Swiss Cottages have two bedrooms, each with attached bathrooms. There is a range of 6 cottages; each room interconnects with other rooms.
Similarly, the Lakeside Cottages are there that cover the whole lake. The captivating views of the lake can be witnessed through the window. Forty cottages varied from single to double and possess all the basic facilities like a telephone, TV, room service, and laundry. Next comes the VIP Suites, which consist of double bedrooms and a lavish sitting area. Last but not least is the Presidential suites; two have ultra-modern designs. A full suite with a great ambiance consists of 3 bedrooms with a delicate dining and sitting area.
