Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to restart the aerial hunting service. The national airline announced the news in a press release on Monday. He said that all preparations have been made in this regard, and added that the first flight will be from Islamabad to Skardu on June 12, 2021.
PIA named the service “Sadpara Air Safari” in memory of the famous climber Ali Sadpara, who lost their lives in the winter defeat of K2 with two international climbers.

The national airline said that every Saturday there will be a safari flight from Islamabad’s new airport that will pass through the snow-capped mountains in the north of the country, including K2 and Nanga Parbat.

Pakistan International Airlines first launched this service in 2018. However, due to operational challenges, the service was shut down shortly after its launch.

Now, with the improvement of safety and the reduction of COVID-related restrictions, the country’s tourism industry has returned to normal, and the national airline plans to seize the opportunity.
Recently, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued a Tourism Promotion and Regional Integration License (TPRI) for a new airline, North Air.
The airline will operate flights to Gilgit, Skardu, Chitral and Gwadar. In addition, PIA has 17 weekly flights from all over Pakistan to Gilgit.
