Yet another good news for Pakistan Tourism Industry according to the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index 2017 released by the World Economic Forum, Pakistan elevated to 124 out of 136 countries.
Following the domestic survey, Pakistan captures a million international tourist in 2016 and receiving an estimated amount of $317 million. Moreover, Travel and Tourism Industry of Pakistan adds approximately 2.8% of total GDP that is worth $7.362 billion annually. Additionally, with an increase in total GDP of the country, there is also an increase in employment, which is 2.4% of total employment.
Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index 2017 is discriminated by government expense, retailing and imprinting to impress tourists and lack of extensive travel and tourism data. Due to some lack of information, Pakistan ranked 124 of the 136 countries.
Pakistan is so blessed in each module that captures tourist to this wonderland. Starting from the cultural Heritage sites to the natural panoramic landscapes, every quarter provides the reason that intensifies the interest in tourist to explore the cultural and natural landscapes of Pakistan. Moreover, Pakistan owns 36 World Heritage Cultural Sites that ranked it on 59 for cultural resources and business travel.
Additionally, the Spain, France and Germany top the list of best travel and tourism spot in the world. Moreover, the list continues and in the top 10, travel and tourism destinations include Japan, UK, US, Australia, Italy, Canada and Switzerland respectively.
On contrary, another report ranked Pakistan at 29 because of its price effectiveness, e.g. lower in prices of hotels and fuel and higher purchasing power parity.

“The rise of Asia’s giants shows that the Asian Tourism Century is becoming a reality,” “To reach their potential, the majority of countries still have more to do, from enhancing security, promoting their cultural heritage, building their infrastructure and creating stronger visa policies.”
Asia is emerging as the largest source market but also offers more captivating destination with the most pleasant environment.
Roberto Crotti, the economist said,
“The increasing importance of demand from emerging markets and technology are changing the travel and tourism sector’s landscape at a fast rate.”

Moreover, the report also highlights the advantages that bring along with the Travel and tourism industry. For instance, the travel and tourism industry proceeds to accelerate growth, generates more jobs opportunities, and decreases the deficit. It also helps to foster growth and humanity that affect lives of millions of people and surely became a great game changer dormant global economy.
Above all, it is expected by the end of 2035 there will be a visible change in the international tourist visiting Pakistan. According to an estimate, 7.2 billion will travel by plane that was 1.2 billion in 2016.
As a concluding fact, by travel and tourism every section of the country prosper in its own way, notably, the GDP that increase 10% per year. The industry added $7.6 trillion to the global economy and produced 292 million jobs in 2016. Lastly, the tourism industry of Pakistan provides a magnificent source to generate an ample revenue.
